90 Second Exam
The ability to analyze feet statically and dynamically, in both 2D and 3D, by everyone concerned, including the lab technicians designing the orthotics, has led to an extremely low return rate on custom orthotics of less than 1% (compared to an industry average of 15%). Advanced technology truly places all individuals involved in a win-win situation.

Step 1 - Patient Data
Enter Patient's Name, height, weight, gender, birth date, & shoe size.

|
Step 2 - Static Analysis
Patient stands on imaging pad in stationary position for 5-10 seconds. Patient's feet sink into carbon impregnated conductive foam just below a thin protective layer of rubber on the top, compressing the foam and relaying exact degree of pressure to one of over 1,500 24-carat gold sensors (yes, we use real gold because it is the most electrically conductive metal on the planet) located in the bottom of the pad. On the laptop screen medical tester views the results. System captures both 3D & 2D static images of the feet, color-coordinated pressure points, pelvic balancing info (% of weight on left & right side of body) & limb length discrepancy information.

Step 3 - Gait Analysis
Patient walks across imaging pad, sinking into conductive surface once again-first with left foot, than reversing direction and walking across on right foot. Total time to perform this task is 15-20 seconds. Gait results are displayed in any of three ways: (a) 2D with mass displacement, (b) graphically with time spent in each gait phase, and (c) 3D with motion analysis and object positioning. For further analysis, feet can be displayed individually in 3D animation. Each foot can be rotated, shown at different angles, and speed of motion can be controlled infinitely.

Step 4 - Order Custom Orthotics
Go into order entry screen, click on the appropriate shoe type that orthotics will be worn in, and order is now completed. For advanced 3DO Users, there is an option to click on 'Add Accommodations' for further customization. At the end of day connect to phone line, click on "transmit orders "and orders are transmitted to lab electronically in just a few seconds. The lab produces custom orthotics in 24-72 hours and has them delivered to your office doorstep in 1-5 business days depending on your location.
